For months, I dog-eared the page of the J Crew catalog with this skirt on it. I lusted after it on the website. I once longed for it on a mannequin at the SoHo store. But $98 for a bright orange skirt (totally memorable and therefore not an everyday wear)?! No way. Last week, I checked the final sale section of the website for the umpteenth time, and voila! My size was magically available in the delicious tangerine of my dreams. I wore it the day after it arrived in the mail, naturally.
