The High Line and Other Adventures
Saturday, February 20
My friend Maggie and I met up for burritos in the West Village and just kind of wandered for the rest of the day. I am 95% sure that we walked past Taylor Jacobson on 13th in Meatpacking…and according to her twitter she’s in NY. It is fairly hard to tell, though, since most people who hang out in that area dress the same exact uber-trendy-trying-too-hard way.
Maggie and I took a peek into DVF, ogled the shoe selection at Jeffrey, and then took a walk on the High Line.
Since this will end up being a rather long post, click through for outfit details and more pictures!
I am a terrible New Yorker because this was my very first time up there, and it’s probably 10,000x awesomer in summer, but the views were still incredible.
After that we took in the Chelsea Market and were tempted by far too many baked goods (mmm fat witch brownies!) and gourmet cooking supplies. Is there anything more alluring than the phrase “artisinal cheeses” ?
We finished our day at Loehmann’s although both of us left empty handed. Still, a very successful day indeed!

I was very inspired by this outfit from Christine of My Style Pill. I loved that she layered with three differently textured and differently patterned fabrics, and I knew I wanted to pair my flannel plaid and khaki corduroy together as she did. I also piled on the texture and color with my cold weather accessories—this crocheted beanie hasn’t seen the light of day since high school, but it matched my new scarf almost exactly. This is a bit more hipster than my usual look— what do you think?
