And all around these golden beacons … I see nothing but black
Wednesday, June 16
Worn to work. Thanks to my roomie, Sarah, for taking my photos today! I don’t trust a tripod with my new baby [read: camera] yet.

The Outfit…
Black Silk Seersucker Blouse - Bally
Gold Scale Belt - vintage, used to be great aunt’s
Black Cropped Dress Pants - LOFT
Black and Gold Gladiator Heels - Nine West, via clothing swap
Studded Bangles - Rachel Leigh for Target, gift
Black Snakeskin Bow Bangle - Rachel Leigh, gift
today’s post title is from the song “black and gold” by sam sparro.
Maybe living in New York is finally getting to me, because sometimes shying away from my usual color experiments and going for basic black feels really fresh. And boy do I love these Loft pants (now just $30 plus an extra 40% off!!!); I’ve worn them three times in the two weeks I’ve owned them, they’re simultaneously retro and yet modern, they are comfortable and yet, dang! super chic and flattering. This time, I added a silk seersucker blouse for texture and all over gold accents.
