Cloisters
Sunday, June 26. Worn to lunch with the entire family - my parents, my brother, Matt’s parents, the whole shebang! - and a field trip up to The Cloisters.

The Cloisters is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s counterpart (way up on 190th Street) devoted to medieval European art. The building itself contains elements reconstructed from five monastic sites in France and houses paintings, tapestries, incredible handwritten and illustrated books (my favorite part!) surrounded by herb and perennial gardens. It definitely doesn’t feel like you’re in Manhattan!
